BACKGROUND｜背景

Every family has disputes, but the disputes of high net worth families (“HNW Families”) could be

easily turned into scandals. If the disputes are resolved in an amicable way,

HNW Families could be spared of many difficulties, troubles, losses and even

liabilities, which explains why mediation is so important to HNW Families.

每个家庭都有纠纷，但高净值家庭的纠纷很容易演变成社会事件。如果以友好的方式解决争端，高净值家庭可以免于许多困难、麻烦、损失甚至责任，这就解释了为什么调解对高净值家庭如此重要。

However, mediation for HNW Families is anything but easy. There are many seemingly

unrelated, but intertwining factors to consider, which include family

relations, family enterprises, family wealth, and even extra-family matters.

In addition, the mediators to mediate the disputes of HNW Families are usually required to be

more knowledgeable of various subject matters, sophisticated of complicated

social and family issues, and competent in conducting an effective mediation. How

could mediators develop themselves to be knowledgeable, sophisticated and

competent enough? What are the expectations of HNW Families for the

knowledgeableness, sophistication and competence of a mediator? For the

afore-mentioned issues and others, we are organizing such a forum.

此外，调解高净值家庭纠纷的调解员通常需要更了解各种专业话题，练达洞悉复杂的社会和家庭问题，并有能力进行有效的调解。调解员如何不断提升自己，使自己具备足够的知识、经验和能力？高净值家庭对调解员的知识、成熟度和能力有何期望？针对上述问题和其他问题，我们组织这样一个论坛与大家集思广益。
